Hello Friends,

The temperature here is starting to cool down for the beginning of autumn. It's a beautiful time of the year when the leaves start turning colors.  It's one of my favorite times of the year...

I would like to share a couple of baby quilts I made for some friends. I love the material so much that I made them almost the same.... The back of the quilts and pillows are different...

I put a little ruffle around the edge of the quilt.
It makes it a little more girly 😉

This is the back of the quilts

These little baby quilts are so cute and easy to make.
I love adding a matching pillow to every baby quilt I make.

In Loving Memory of Susan Cobaugh

Hello Quilter Friends,

I know it’s been a while, as usual…  Not much quilting going on~

with the warmer weather it’s harder to stay in and quilt.

Us quilter girls finally got together a few weeks back

To remember one of our dearest quilter friend.

We all met in Simsbury for lunch

It was so nice to see everyone again.

Lorry, (one of the girls) made each of us a

beautiful memory table runner…

She is anamazing quilter!

We met here in Simbury because

Susan's favorite quilt shop is

Sew inspired

Here are some photos of us and the

beautiful table runner...

Sue, although you are no longer here

Somehow you remain very near…

Your memories are treasured within our hearts.

We remember you with warmest thoughts~

You’re unforgettable…

We will always remember you with fond memories…

Like when we all went to Lancaster, PA Quilt Show

You were the one to bring us all together.

You were our go to quilter girl!

Every time we had an issue with quilting

We would always call on you!

You were one in a million, and you’ll always be~

Quilting is not the same without you!

You’re irreplaceable.

We’ll always treasure you…

for though you may be out of sight,

You will be forever in our hearts and mind.

Spring has Sprung

 Hello and Happy Easter Everyone!

I have been doing a little fabric shopping.  I took a drive to North Franklin, CT to Stitch Chicks Quilt Shop and bought some new spring fabric... The Spring fabric collection is out and it looks so pretty.  I couldn't resist.

Here is the fabric I bought. Beautiful!
I can't wait to start cutting into it.
But, right now I am working on this disappearing nine patch - below

Have a Happy Easter and Stay Safe!

Book Pillows

Hello Everyone,

I'd never heard of a book pillow until a few months back when a friend asked if I could make one for her grandson.  I learn that a Reading Pillow or Pocket Pillow is a large pillow with pocket sewn into it, intended to be used for snuggling and reading. This pillow makes an excellent gift for kids of all ages!  Teens could use a cozy pillow to tuck their homework, magazines or laptops into. All you need to do is switch up the fabric from preschool to college dorm.

Here are a couple of pillows I made for two beautiful little girls... Actually my great nieces. :-)

Here's a few other ones that I have made recently...

These are very easy to make and a lot of fun.
You can be creative with the pocket.

Through the years - Memory Quilt

Hello Everyone,

It looks like the weather is changing...Yay!  Spring is here and the days are longer.  I want to share this quilt that I have been working on for a few  weeks.  This is a Journey through time quilt.  I made this for my older brother George and his wife Janet.  I couldn't post this earlier because it was a surprise... They had no idea :-)  - I have to say "I love doing memory quilts" they're a lot of fun.

Here are a few pictures of how it went together...

First you lay out your quilt blocks to be sewn together
This one above is where I am sandwiching the quilt together with the batting and the back - getting ready for quilting.
Here it is on the longarm - all quilted above.
Here it is off the longarm - squaring it up for binding. above.
Next is printing, cutting and laying out the pictures to be sewn on the quilt.
Once the pictures are on - you can create your label or labels.
Here it is all done - Front & Back - Below
                                               It came out beautiful
                                                                              Love it!

Snow Days

 Hello Everyone,

It's been pretty chilly here, and we've been getting snow, and more snow is expected...  So, I decided to go out and make a snowman.. Hey not too bad for a quick job...  I did this on my lunch break Friday... had to get back to work.  Enough fun, back to work!

Check out a few baby quilts I made...  I made these pink ones for my hairdresser. His son is having twin girls...  Oh boy, double trouble!!  :-)  Their theme is busha chic... whatever that is.  I'm thinking it's like a shabby chic.

This one below is one of my favorites...  It's for a little boy.  It's a cute little embroidered giraffe quilt. It came out so cute -

Adorable!
